According to our factory’s years of production experience, there are three types of packaging that are popular for birthday candles. The first, blister card packaging. The second, PVC/PET boxes. The third: colour boxes.
I will start here with 2 advantages of blister card packaging.
- Protect the product: one of the purposes of blister card packaging is to protect the product, product handling, sorting and storage require constant contact with the product, while blister packaging can reduce the loss caused by contact and will not affect sales.
- Display products: the use of blister packaging can bring the corresponding display for the product, so that buyers can intuitively understand the product, to promote the sale of products.
- However, blister card packaging has the following two disadvantages: poor heat resistance and easy ageing of the material.
I will then move on to the advantages and disadvantages of PVC/PET BOX packaging.
- High transparency and good surface gloss. PVC/PET Transparent boxes can make products more visual and clear, consumers can visually see the size and colour of your products through the box, making your products more attractive and increasing your added value.
- High hardness, good stiffness, strong load-bearing, high resistance to corrosion and pressure compared to other materials, good protection for internal products.

- The beautifully crafted PVC/PET box packaging enhances the interior cake candle.
- However the disadvantages of PVC boxes are also obvious.
- PVC boxes are not environmentally friendly.
- PVC boxes are not suitable for long-term storage.
The last thing I would like to introduce is the colour box packaging.
With increasing demands on the environmental friendliness of packaging throughout the international marketThis is being used more and more widely in some developed countries like New Zealand, the United of Kingdom etc. Let’s start with the advantages of carton packaging.
- Environmentally friendly, recyclable and able to be reused to save resources.
- The packaging is beautiful, easy to print and colourful. And it can promote the sale of goods.
- Lighter weight and better cushioning.
However, the biggest drawback of the colour box packaging is its poor water resistance. Poor strength when wet is a drawback of paper packaging that cannot be ignored. The cost of a colour box is also somewhat higher than that of a PET/PVC box. In recent years, colour box packaging has gradually become more and more popular. Its unique patterns and its environmental advantages have been widely welcomed by people.
